I'm a WINNER!

I don't often enter to win things via the blogging world but every once in awhile I feel like something is up my alley, so I'll throw my name in the bucket (assuming it's not one of those give aways where you have to kill puppies and pass it on to 365 people, one for each day of the year, jump through a hula hoop 7 times, then start it on fire and do the hula...).  So about 2 weeks ago I entered to win a giveaway that Kim was hosting.  She recently took up jewelry making as a hobby and after reaching 10,000 hits on her blog, she decided to give away some jewelry.

Her requirements were simple: leave a comment telling your favorite hobby and your favorite color - you can also include if you like bracelets, necklaces, earrings, etc.  So, as a new reader to Kim's blog, I felt like not entering would be silly..

So ... I WON!

Kim told me she'd get to making the jewelry and send it off.  The package arrived at my house this past weekend, so I'm just now getting to blogging and posting pictures after my time up North with the girls.  I listed my favorite color as Green, but my favorite color combo as pink, orange, and green (I absolutely adore that color combo)... So when I opened the package I saw this:

This stuff is really nice!  I'm always a bit apprehensive when someone says they make jewelry, I mean, I can take some string and make a mean friendship bracelet, but I'm far from a jewelry maker.  Upon looking at Kim's work, I'm REALLY impressed, especially for someone who just started this as a hobby!  Kudo's Kim!
