My Sad Songs

Plinky Prompt: What songs bring a tear to your eye?

Collide by Howie Day

Lots of history with this one... pulls hard on my heart strings, always has, always will.

I'm learning to cope in public.

If Tomorrow Never Comes by Garth Brooks

Ever since the first time I heard this song it has had a huge impact on me. If you really take the time to listen to the words.. .and really feel what it means... it's deep stuff, yo.

Basically this: What if something happened to you today... would the people you care about know how much you cared? Take the time to tell people what they mean to you... it's important.

Goodbye My Lover by James Blunt

This CD came into my life at a time where I was struggling with my current life situations - I felt I needed to be strong, I felt a crazy amount of love flowing through my body, I felt hopeless. Each time I felt empowered to make a decision of any sort... I would put this song on and cry like I've never cried before.

Just thinking about it now brings a tear to my eye. God, music is powerful.

Oh gosh - there are songs that to this day I can't listen to because they make me cry!

I can't think of a single song that makes me cry...am I dead inside?

I'm going to try to listen for the ones you said make you cry. I'm not familiar with any of them, except for James Blunt.

I think you should do another post on which songs make you the absolute happiest.
