10 Day You Challenge: Four Books

I don't read much - I don't enjoy it.  I'm envious of people who read all the time and love it.. I just can't get into it. I've been reading both The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and The Lost Symbol for a long time, both I'm not very far into.  I'd just rather sit and watch a TV show than sit and read.  I wish I were different in that regard.  I have read a few books though, so only having to list 4, should be easy - we'll see...

  1. Angels and Demons -  I read this book in about one week - which is a record for me - while on vacation in LA with my mom.  I could not put it down.  It grabbed me and sucked me in - the movie, several years later, sucked balls!  If you haven't read it, I HIGHLY recommend it!  I actually enjoy all of Dan Brown's books, which is why I need to stick with The Lost Symbol, I'm sure it won't let me down.
  2. The Hobbit - I'm in LOVE with all of The Lord of The Rings movies, so I decided to read The Hobbit per a friends recommendation - SO glad I did!  Now I simply cannot wait for the movies to come out in 2012 and 2013!  It's (hopefully) going to be EPIC!  For those who don't know, The Hobbit is the prequel to The Lord of The Rings stories.
  3. The Celestine Prophecy - I read this book many years ago and, at the time, it seemed to fit well into my life.  I was searching for something and, in my early twenties, trying to figure out who I was.  Today, in my current life and frame of mind, I probably wouldn't enjoy it much, if it all.  I have a pretty good feel for who I am and I'm not searching anymore.  While this book would probably be a good read for anybody, at any point in their life.. I just feel like it found me at the time when I needed to be found.
  4. There's a Boy in The Girls Bathroom - LOL, I read this book a LONG time ago, but it makes my list because it's one book that I remember so clearly.  It was in my early teenage years that I read it and I thought it was the funniest thing EVER... I still own it.  For some reason it struck me as just a great book.. for some reason it just make an impact on my life!  Silly, I know, but we all have those thing that we keep with us forever and this book is one of those things!

The Lost Symbol took me FOREVER to read. For some reason I just could not get into it at all.

LOVED Angels and Demons AND Da Vinci Code. Both of those were AMAZING.

I can't blame you for taking so long on The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo... it's one of my faves, but it takes a LONG TIME to get really exciting. (the first 200 pages or more is just building up hahaha)

When I was a kid I read The Hobbit something like 10 times! So obviously I'm so excited about the movie.

Angels and Demons was phenomenal. I will tell you 99% of the time that the book is better than the movie but I take exception to The Lord of the Rings. The movies were amazing!!! It took me four months to read them (Starting with the Hobbit) which seemed like a lifetime!! Looking forward to The Hobbit too :)

I don't read much either. Not because I don't like to but because I haven't had time to read. I just need some good books.
