Can you see me now?
As some of you commented recently, a few of my posts should have popped up in your readers over the last day or two. I took the blog off private for a bit. Partially seeing how it'd work.
When I had it on private and I posted, it didn't show up for any of you, but as soon as I took the 'private' off, my posts showed up. This sucks. I wish there was a way to notify you all of posts while I'm private. Dana made a comment about another blog she used to read still showing up... I've searched high and low and I've yet to find anything. I'm still searching though. In the mean time, I'm leaving things 'public' - anyone looking for my blog has to know the name to find it. I'm sure of that.
So, let's talk weight loss a bit, shall we? First of all, since I posted last Friday I've been to the gym several times! I went on Friday, Monday, Wednesday and I have plans to go tonight as well as tomorrow. I HAD plans to go on Saturday, but I had a bridal shower that ended up taking longer than I expected and I just didn't have time to get there with my evenings plans looming. Sunday I was hungover from my Saturday night plans... whoops. I'll be weighing in tomorrow.
In the mean time... as if I needed more motivation... I pulled down my pants this morning to go to the bathroom (tmi?) and noticed that I have a rip in the thigh of my jeans. Not super surprising as I have big thighs and a big ass - my thighs rub together when I walk thus wearing down the material in pants - but it's still heart-breaking. I kind of love these jeans... and now I look like a whore. A whore who feels fat and completely insecure about herself. New feelings for me. I guess a trip to Target is in order afterwork the gym.
My gym doesn't offer classes (it's one of those cheap 24 hour access gyms, so it's not staffed all the time) - but I am looking into taking a community ed class, probably Kettlebells. If you've been reading for a bit, you'll remember last Spring I took a zumba class and pretty much hated it. I felt so out of place in there.
So other than that... my job still sucks and I still hate it here. I no longer feel valued or needed - I feel like I'm just here to do whatever it is I know how to do (and not even all that I used to do anymore)... so that's always a neat feeling.
I'm digging deep for motivation to wake up and come to this place on a daily basis. I also feel like it's having a bit of an impact on my relationship - not a huge one, but a bit. I feel like I've always been decent at leaving work at work, but I'm struggling lately. I told Steve that there will be days that I come home crabby, and while I'll try not to take it out on him... I can't hold back the way I feel. It's not him that I'm upset with, but if I've had a bad day, sometimes it's hard to perk up when I get home. Hopefully he continues to love me no matter what.
What a great life right? I hate my body, I hate my job, I hate blogger for not making it easy to go private, I hate Hulu for no longer streaming my favorite MTV shows... where is the positive? It's there... and like the sunshine on a cloudy day, it peeks through sometimes. I guess 2011 was so great, I have to expect some bad in 2012, right? I feel like I might be on the verge of a small breakdown.
I've spent almost this entire week at work looking up stuff on New York City - so I'm getting ready for that trip... only 2 months to go! I'm also planning a bachelorette party for my cousin, which is about a month and a half away. Something I've never done, but I'm excited for.
Okay, that's my super upbeat update. I'll check in tomorrow with my weigh-in, hopefully that'll have a bit lower number to report. I promise one day I'll have a positive outlook again. Please bare with me until then... I'm grasping at straws for things to smile about.

Valentine's Day + Random
I'm crabby right now. So I'm going to post about something that made me happy.
My valentine's day last week.
I got flowers at work:
Then I got home to a boyfriend... who left work early to surprise me!
Then, we made salt roasted salmon, my choice, and it was delish! Steve said his didn't get all the salt brushed off, but I thought it was amazing. Basically, you crisp the skin of the salmon in a hot pan, cover it with salt, and stick it in the oven to finish it off. Yum!
This weekend my kitty was sick again - he had a bad episode on Friday. I took him in on Saturday... so I was kind of bummin' all weekend and stayed close to home for the most part.
I met up with some ladies that I've been meeting with for the past couple months; Kristi, Dana, Heather, and Tanya... we went to brunch and I pretty much stuffed myself. Not the good kind of stuffing though. Is there a good kind? Dana has a photo or two of us... I'm waiting to see it before I post anything, but we basically burned off all the calories we consumed just in laughs while trying to take this picture. I make it sound epic, but it might suck. Stay tuned.
I turned my facebook off on Thursday ... and I've re-activated it again today. Call me weak, call me stupid, whatever you want. I like having a way to know about the people I care about, facebook gives me that.
I'm gonna go back to being crabby now.

Private
Ok, I think it makes sense to start the list of people who want to read, so I can plug all the email address into my blog as they roll in, it'll be less work once I actually make the switch - which will be soon. A few of you have already let me know, so I'll take care of adding you. My 'regulars', I can add you, assuming you have a gmail email address - if you don't please let me know what email address you want me to use for you.
From what I've read, you'll have to be logged in when you want to read my blog - doesn't mean you HAVE to use a gmail email address, it just means you have to have a google account with ANY email address.
I think.
Those of you who don't comment often or at all, I'm sorry, but now's the time to do something if you want to keep reading. You don't have to comment, but you do need to let me know that you want to continue, so I can add you to the list. You can feel free to email me at footballsushihappiness AT gmail (dot) com. All I need to know is an email address you want to use to login - if you already have a google account under any email address, that'll be the one I need.
I can have posts emailed to you as well... which... I'm a bit apprehensive about - I don't want my posts cluttering up your inbox, but it IS an option... so I guess let me know if you want that added feature.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience this is going to cause you people... I'm honestly not sure if my posts will show up in your readers anymore or not. Matter of fact, after a little bit of search, I'm quite certain my blog will NOT show up anywhere for you - you'll have to come seek me out. I don't expect many of you will do that, but if you chose to, know now that I appreciate your loyalty.
I will say that I don't plan to stay private. So if you don't care and want to play catch up or whatever sometime down the road, then you need not take action.
Let me know if you have any questions! Be sure to get me your address if you want to still have access to my blog!

Happy V-Day
So this post is going to be more random than anything else... but being that it's Valentine's day, I will say I hope you have a great day, whatever you decide to do. Steve is going to make me dinner - salt roasted salmon with my favorite broccoli side dish and sticky rice.
Second, some replies to the comments from yesterday. To those who took the time to say anything at all, thank you. It may not have helped my day fully, but I promise that I smiled at each of the comments.
@Krysten - I am excited for Baseball season, I'd be more excited if I had cable AND if we had a promising team. That being said... I'm always excited to see Joe "Lips" Mauer in any form.
@Dana - I'm so glad you liked the wine! I was able to try that same wine a couple of weeks ago and thought it was really good too! The whole line of wine from Cupcake is pretty stellar (and inexpensive)!
@Gringa - I replied to you personally. I am excited for New York and Chicago - I've been planning those trips hard core over the last few weeks.
@Lo - I'm jealous that you can walk to Target Field! On top of that, I'm so sorry your place got broken into. While I try hard not to be one of those 'woe is me, let's have a pitty party' - I do believe that no matter how positive a person tries to be, we all encounter bad days. I'm thankful for so much in my life and I hope that I didn't come across as ungrateful.
Okay, some of the reason why my day was poopy yesterday?
Not only am I sick and tired of dealing with the same shit day after day at work, it's even worse on a Monday. I try to wake up on Monday's and be fresh and new, ready to tackle a new week. Yesterday I woke up the same way... but it was quickly turned around by the bullshit at my company. My favorite co-worker, and one of only 2 people that I still like and enjoy at this place, told me a new way to think - while it may help for the time being, I'm still holding in all my true frustration. He told me to do my job and not worry about the other stuff unless it directly and negatively affects my job. It may sound like common sense but the 7 years I've worked here have been much different where everyone is involved in certain things. Especially considering I know the office admin job better than the person that was given the position. I don't know how you can plan for the future without knowing how things currently work. It's extremely frustrating.
Also yesterday, Steve told me that he had some bad news - which is never good to hear. As it turns out, his boss did some further research on our first class tickets and Hawaii is too expensive, so Continental US, Alaska, and Mexico are still options but Hawaii is off the table. I'm super bummed about that. I don't want to sound selfish, but I know I'm about to, so deal with it. The thing that makes me the most upset is the fact that we went a month not knowing if Hawaii was included but would have understood if it weren't... then we are told it is, sowe get excited and I start looking into stuff and talking with my travel agent... and now it's not. I just wish she would have looked into it BEFORE telling us we could go. I'm super bummed and disappointed - we had our hopes beyond up.
Now to redeem my selfish thoughts - I know we're still getting a free first class ticket to somewhere, and I know we'll still have a great time... I just have to get over the bummed feelings and start thinking about something else. The other part of that is we don't know where we want to go now... hard to get excited about something that we don't know.. ya know?
I went to the gym after work yesterday, thinking people always talk about how a good workout helps them feel better, maybe I can apply the same thought process - well... I don't think it worked because I was still bummed last night when I got home. However, I have decided that the gym isn't so bad as long as I don't go there expecting to push myself to my death. I always assume I can pickup where I left off 3 years ago, and I can't, and that's okay. I have to start somewhere. Yesterday I did 20 minutes on the elliptical and 20 minutes on the treadmill. 40 minutes of cardio at any pace is better than 40 minutes on my couch, right?
Steve and I made a Pinterest Recipe to take to my brother's house over the weekend, the pinterest link is no longer working, but I was able to find the same recipe here (the photos on this site are less exciting than what I pinned):
Lastly, As I sit here thinking about a new job and working on my resume, I'm forced to think about how to remove myself from searchable social media. Facebook, Twitter, blogging, etc. I've decided that once my resume is out there, I'm going to deactivate my facebook. I think it'll be good for me for many reasons - who couldn't use a break from facebook. It'll also assure any potential employers not be able to find pictures of me with my boobs hanging out (not literally, just the cleave) and photos of me being bombed off my ass at any given point.
Twitter is less of a big deal to me, being that I don't post often and there are no photos of me on there. I'm not sure if I can just disable the site for a time being or if I have to delete my account... if it's the latter, I'll probably just leave it.
My blog... I've worked extremely hard to remove my blog from any mention of my actual name. Being that I work with family and I'm also friends with the same family on Facebook and Twitter... I don't have any of it linked. I'm not an anonymous blogger, obviously, but unless we're friends on facebook, you won't know my full name by reading my blog. Just the way I want it. I really need to log out of my google account and do lots of different searches to make sure of this.
All of that being said... I still plan to make my blog private once I submit my resume. Which means, I think, that if you want to keep reading, you'll need to make sure you a) let me know b) give me your email address and c) I think that email address will need to be the one you use to sign up for a google account. I need to look a bit more into this, but I think that's how it'll work. It's going to be a pain, but hopefully I'll get a job right away and it won't have much of an impact on you, the reader. I do appreciate you reading and hope you'll continue to do so while I have to take some action to keep my privacy.
Peace out for now...

Bloomin' Onion Bread
1 unsliced loaf of (round is preferable) sourdough bread
1 pound Monterey Jack cheese, thinly sliced
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup finely diced green onion, including white part
2-3 tsp poppy seeds
1 pound Monterey Jack cheese, thinly sliced
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup finely diced green onion, including white part
2-3 tsp poppy seeds
Directions:
Using a sharp bread knife cut the bread going both directions. Do not cut through the bottom crust.
Places slices of cheese between cuts. Mix together butter, onion, and poppy seeds. Pour over bread. Wrap in foil the entire thing in foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Unwrap. Bake 10 more minutes, or until cheese is melted.

Day 20 of Birthday Month
So, I just updated my blogroll - see it here - and I've added buttons to the blogs I read. It's a nice touch considering it was plain text before that. Do I read your blog and missed your button? Let me know, I'll get it updated.
So let's talk about buttons; how do I get one?!
Must I make my own? Is there a website that'll help me?
As bloggers, what made you decide to make one for yourself or decide not to have one? Maybe you don't even know about buttons? Maybe you're like me and have no clue how to make it happen?
Just looking for everyone's input on this - the good and the bad. More than anything, point me in the right direction to get my own!
Happy Tuesday!

Random v.11.6
- Want to hear something super awesome but super lame at the same time? I deleted my account with myspace yesterday. LOL.. yeah, I still had one.
- The smell of Cheetos reminds me of being little - on Sunday's we'd go bowling as a family. I'd always beg my parents for the 10 or 15 cents it took to buy a bag of Cheetos from the vending machine... so ever since then, opening a bag and smelling them takes me back to the bowling alley. It's one of my favorite smells, my favorite memories, and one of my favorite snacks.
- I've deleted the link to my bog from both Facebook and Twitter - the cons of working with family (who have both) and having many changes at work make you want to write angry blogs.
- I'm left handed.
- I love Mexican food; I want to travel {back} to Mexico and try the authentic stuff!
- I'm turning 30 in 37 days; on a Friday. What should I do that won't break the bank?
- I want to marry Steve and spend the rest of my life with him (I think of this every time Beyonce comes on singing "Single Ladies"). I'm also head over heels in love with the guy!
- I don't want kids.
- I want to take a trip!
- I have a Type A personality
- I'm addicted to Facebook lately.
- The single most popular image on my blog is this one:

because people Google the exact words "Fish with Arms" What goes on in this world? - I posted on facebook a couple weeks ago that I went to the ATM to deposit a rebate check and I didn't need an envelope, it just took the check, scanned it, and told ME how much it was for. Neat. Last night I went to Old Navy and was given the option to have a printed receipt or have it emailed to me. I'm already on their mailing list (for coupons)... so why not? The world is advancing... and I fear as I approach 30, I'm not ready for it.
That's all.

BIG fat RANT
Before I get started - LOL at those who commented on my last blog title and how it no where was mentioned in my post. It's my way of keeping you on your toes! It's how I roll. (and yeah, Jamie Foxx... I know!!)
Now, begin rant -
Want to know what pisses me off more than pretty much anything lately?!
Steve and I always walk side by side when we're in public, as any couple would, right? Most of the time we will hold hands (unless he knows someone near by, he gets all weird and tries to not hold my hand..). So even as we're walking by other people - we have it down to an art where we continue to hold hands; he bends his arm behind him and I just scoot to the back until we pass the people. No biggie.
Lately, it's come to my attention that no one moves for us! I get that we're OBVIOUSLY better/nicer than most everyone because we're kind enough to move.. but what gives - why does NO ONE else do this? It's not just couples either, it's simply every.one.
I made a vow to stop moving for people, I'll scoot over and get closer to Steve, but I'm DONE walking behind him!
A woman and her friend/sister, we walked by them, I scooted closer to Steve, they didn't even budge. So we end up hitting our arms against each other - and I fucking hate touching other people, especially people I don't know, it was so nasty. She didn't even move over to get kind of out of the way. Bitch.
This is just one story - I kind of tested the market on Saturday as we were strolling around in Stillwater and then around the Xcel Energy Center (on the several block walk to the game, not while inside the Xcel, obviously you've gotta take drastic measures inside a sports venue). People suck. That's the conclusion I've drawn.
Have some damn respect for other people and at least move the fuck over and pretend like you want to be nice.
I'm OFFICIALLY done moving behind my man, I'll continue to stand proud next to him while holding his hand. Being a nice person by nature, I'll probably continue to move closer to him, but that's fucking it.

Blogger Meetup 10/5/11
I feel so amazing that I blog in real time (Kristi and Dana, you should try it sometime!!! kidding, mostly ;) )
So last night was the little get together that, I guess, I planned? I don't know - Krysten gave me credit for it in one of her posts and it caught me off guard, but whatever - I'll take credit for amazing ideas! word.
So we met at Axel's Bonfire in St. Paul - I got there early as I went right from work, so I bellied up to the bar and ordered myself a perfectly dirty martini. Next in rolls Kristi and Kim - now, I've known Kristi since before I started my blog but not like since childhood or anything and we've never been like BFFs where we hang out all the time. ANWAYS- Kim was the only new face of this meetup to me.. and I was SO interested in what she'd be like and, at first, I was kind of surprised by just seeing her. I felt like I kept staring at her and I even apologized to her in case I was... she just looked so different to me than she does on her blog. Until I found out she 'airbrushes' herself... which made me chuckle a little bit. Sorry if that was supposed to be a secret Kim!
Krysten arrived next and bellied up with us and we were all able to get a little bit of chit-chat in before Dana arrived and we went to our table.
Forewarning: All these pictures are from Kristi given to me with permission to use them - I did not steal them because (most of the time) stealing is wrong; there was NOTHING Photoshop and/or I could do to make me look less white than I actually am without making everyone else look shades of Yellow. I'm not a ghost, don't be scared, I won't hurt you.
All the lefties on one side:
Kristi and Kim on the other:
At one point when Kristi was adjusting her camera settings she wasn't focusing on any of us in particular, just aiming off into space... well... I always see this as an opportunity to share my beautiful white face - in an unsuspecting manner. So this morning as Kristi was emailing me photos she showed me this one and pointed out that she didn't even notice last night - MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
Group shot after dinner:
Not a whole lot else to say other than Kim is a lot sassier than I expected! Always a good thing in my book ;)
If you want to see pictures of our food and read a review of the place, keep checking out Kristi's Restaurant Review blog: Twin Cities Restaurant Blog. She's usually a bit behind on her reviews, but there are plenty of other restaurants to read up on in the mean time; what are you waiting for, go look!
In all it was quite a lovely time - I would have loved to stay a bit longer and chit-chat, but ... well... I don't know why we left right away! I seriously can't wait to do it again!
Afterwards, I get to the block my car is on and I see a car with a ticket on it and think that sucks, hope I don't have one... then I see this little red sticker on ALL the other cars that are parked there, like a permit type sticker, so I'm thinking that it's probably a sticker allowing them to park on this street and well, I knew I didn't have one... I get to my car and low and behold... BIG FAT TICKET. I was instantly pissed off... I looked up at the sign and read the times for NO PARKING and I was fine, I wasn't parked there during those times, until I realized that the hours listed were from 10am (maybe it was 11am) to 2am... so you know, that's like ALL DAY LONG. I couldn't clearly see the AM/PM part of it, and I think I just assumed it was 10pm-2am (bar hours)... either way it sucked. I was fully prepared to fight it until I saw those times and almost punched myself in the face for being so stupid. Now I have to wait 3 days to even find out how much it is.. yes, that's right, they give you a ticket but don't tell you what the fine is. Stupid.
This morning when I got on Facebook, I found out that Kristi and Dana also got parking tickets on the street. I wonder if they read the times wrong too or if it wasn't even posted for them.
All photos taken by and/or copyright Kristi Sauer - don't steal this stuff people, it's just plain WRONG!

Blogger Meetup?
I think it's fair to say we've all met some amazing people through the world of blogging... I think I've met 3 people in person that I met through blogging - it's pretty neat to have that story (as it turns out, not every person online is crazy!)
Anyhow, I have this new blogging friend, Kim, that we've mentioned a time or two that we'd like to get together as we have a couple of mutual friends and thought it'd be neat to meet.
Then I had the same convo with Dana, though we've met in person once, how fun would it be to do dinner/drinks again?!
The reason I know of both Dana and Kim is because of Kristi - who I met through an ex-'boyfriend'.
Then Dana tells me she wants to meet Krysten too... who, I met through blogging, then eventually met in real life and just had a weekend in Milwaukee with.
So basically I think it's time we had a dinner ladies - and this goes out to anyone else in the Twin Cities Metro area that would be interested (Laura, wanna fly up for a dinner?).
Dana and I mentioned October would work best for both of us... and I think we're leaning towards a weeknight vs a weekend - for various reasons. So it wouldn't be anything too wild or too late of a night. Being we're from all over, we'd try to meet somewhere that works for everyone, but that location is TBD.
At this point we're just trying to gauge interest - so who's down and let me know what works best for you from dates to times!
If you haven't entered my giveaway - what are you waiting for? Go do it now!

New Blogger Dashboard
Oy vey! I don't even know how to navigate this shit! Anyone else rocking the new blogger layout? Upon signing in today I had it... so I'm excited for new things, but I also don't like having to relearn something I already knew so well. I could go read about it and figure it out... BUT... I do have a job, you know!?
Boyfriend sent me a link last week saying that with all the changes the Google is making (for those who are not 110% Google EVERYTHING like some of us - gmail has a new layout coming, Google+ has just been released, gCalendar is new and improved, gDocs got a new look a few months back, etc.).. anyhow Blogger and Picasa will be undergoing a name change - as Google likes to have their name on things that are theirs ... sounds like Google Photos and Google Blogs will become official names - here is the link if you're interested in a bit more detail. I know a lot of you are using blogger or blogspot as it was once called.
Speaking of Google+, anyone want an invite? I can get you in :) If you don't know what it is... Google it... I don't want to explain it.
This would be a good example of a time where I'm all for leaning something new - it's not like something has changed and I have to relearn or find something... it's 100% new. I'm cool with that.
Blogger changes suck - cause it's changing what I already know.
So... anyone out there with this new dashboard? I know it's been slowly rolling out, so I'd have to imagine several people have had it for quite some time... do you love it? hate it? Anything new, cool, or exciting about it?

Blogger
Can anyone tell me what happened with blogger? I had to repost my painted bedroom..(did I lose the comments with it?) and a post that was scheduled was showing up twice in my list of scheduled posts... and I think I lost a few comments...
I'm so confused - anyone else have issues?

Oh hey my peeps..
Thanks everyone for the comments on my blog: Am I Weird?
I'd just like to note to those who suggested that maybe they want the recipe. The last thing I want to do is spend my lunch talking about recipes... I just want to eat. It's a good theory, but it happens when I have leftovers from a restaurant... ok so maybe they want to know where to get good food? fine. I get it. Explain why then, when I eat a lean cuisine, or a muthafuckin' lean pocket it still happens. I shit you not people.. it happens 90% of the time. EVERY THING I eat. ugh, whatever. I'm weird, I know. Feels good to vent about it though.
Thanks for listening/reading my very special rants... it means the world to me that you 'normal' people love me that much.
One other question:
If someone sends you an invite to something (via email, evite, facebook, etc.) and you can't make it (for a real reason or maybe because you just don't want to) do you feel obligated to give an excuse (whether real or fake) as to why you won't be there?

Summer Swap
Ok, so homie Krysten over at After 'I do' is hosting a Summer Must Haves Swap - what does this mean? It means that if you sign up you get a partner and you swap your favorite summer must haves - AWESOME! I've already got some idea floating through my head about what I'll send, but I want to wait to see who my partner is so that maybe I can customize it to where they live. She has all the rules and requirements listed on the blog, so check it.
So if you're interested in meeting new people and doing something fun and swapping some fun summer items - then head over to Krysten's blog and sign yo ass up, homes! What's the worst that could happen?
I'll be posting some time in May with what I send and what I received :)
PS - doesn't that ice cream look fantastic?! yum.

Time
I just wanted to take a moment and thank the ladies that commented on my middle of the night weekend ramblings...
Time is really the key, well time and sleep in this case...
Sorry it was kind of a mish-mash of craptastic stuff. I know it's just one of the adjustments of living with someone else.

A Meme
Alright, while I was off vacationing, Harley tagged me in this post - it's a writing meme. You probably need to check out her post though, for reals - I'll wait while you go read it.
Done?
Her writing is pretty amazing and she has all sorts of cute little drawing to go along with everything (even a football, sushi, and a smiley face where she tagged me- THANKS!)
So it's a handwriting meme... I decided to play along. Seems a lot of people are getting into vlogs these days, Harley included, and I really want to buck up and give it a shot, but... I'm chicken shit. So you get to see my sloppy handwriting instead, without cute drawings. :( fail.
Here is what I have to write and those tagged have to write as well:

- Your favorite song?
- Your favorite band/singers?
- Anything else you want to say?
- Tag 3-5 other people

I'm Off!
Hawaii bound this day :)
This post is scheduled, so that's why you're seeing it as I'm flying.
I have Google Reader on my phone, so I plan to keep up with reading while I'm on the beach, but it's not the most user friendly for commenting... so if I comment, feel lucky! Just know I'm reading everything you're writing.
Have a fantastic week and a half and I'll make sure and let you know I made it home safe. I may even post a few pictures while I'm there, if I can figure out how to do it.
Stay safe and stay warm!

I figured it out
I know why I had that dream the other night...
Quickly: at work we are in the process of converting to new accounting software - and there is this dude, I call him the software guy, and for our immediate purposes the software guy he shall remain. well this guy has a lot of the same mannerisms of the ex... you know, not the ones you loved, but the ones that bothered you. I find myself focusing on it a lot. It annoys me.
The software guy was here on Tuesday, all day, the dream happened Tuesday night. Makes complete sense, ya?
That is all. Thank you.

A plug, an update, and some random
A website plug, not a butt plug or anything crazy like that..
A good friend of mine has started a recipe website - Dinner with Ease - if you like cooking and want to try out some new recipes, follow her - she's been on a posting spree! She is a wife and busy mother of 3 children, so I think she has the cooking thing down (I actually know from experience that she does!) Anywhos - check it out and maybe learn a thing or two; who couldn't use a new recipe?!
Update: on the home front. As I told you a few weeks ago, Steve is looking for a home to buy. He's been pretty much super awesome and asked me to come along to everything from First Time Home Buyers classes to looking at each home with him - it's been a lot of fun and super informative for me. Well, on Monday Steve put an offer in on a beautiful home built in 1923! It's so full of character and has been very well kept - beautiful woodwork and hardwood floors... amazing! Currently waiting Anyhow, just wanted to share the bit of fun/exciting news with you - obviously I'll keep you posted.
I was thinking the other day about how I used to blog. My random blogs were seriously... random - this was more when I was blogging to a certain audience and since then, I've change a bit to blog for my current audience, you! Anyhow - I wanted to share some snip-its of the random posts that once upon a time were posted on myspace and copied and pasted when I started this blog:

**I love to have my window down, but I drive by the dump in Elk River everyday and not only does it stink something fierce but there are always trucks in and out, up and down on Hwy. 169. I had several huge rocks hit the windshield on my van, a couple even put a chip in it. What if those rocks came in my rolled down window and took out my eye?!
**Have you ever thought about what would happen if you are driving... you are wearing sunglasses (or regular glasses)... and your airbag (assuming you have one) deploys?! Would those glasses break leaving shards of glass or plastic in your eyeball?
**Does anyone know what is on the other side of the world… directly across from wherever you are?!
**Last night I met up with the most amazing guys friends near me- we went to "All-You-Can-Eat Crab Legs" (YUM-O!!), no big deal, I shouldn't be tired from that... well I had a few glasses of wine and 5 plates of crab legs- i probably should have stopped at 2 glasses of wine and 4 plates of crab legs. {NOTE: the most amazing guys friends near me <--Steve was one of those people}
**I am sitting at work, I am very tired from lack of sleep this weekend and all I keep thinking about is laying my head in my desk for like 5 minutes. So I was just having that thought, only this time I have a 3 ring binder on my desk with the rings open to take stuff out. My head is heavy... my thought to follow was 'What if my head fell onto my desk with the rings open on this binder and my eye hooked on one?'
**sometimes... I look up at the clouds on a sunny blue sky day and I think "Damn, those clouds really look like the clouds in the intro to The Simpsons."
**So all week, i've had to use my automatic power window, and by automatic i mean that if i push the button in the down position real quick it will roll itself down all the way. So as i'm driving away and trying not to crash while fumbling with the deposit receipt, i would like to be able to push that same button in the up direction and have it roll all the way up.

What would you like to see?
I'm thinking it's about time for a new banner and color scheme.
Would you people like to have any input on what you see? I'm open to anything; layout ideas, pictures on the banner itself, no pictures on the banner, colors on the blog... I'm even willing to set up a specific photo shoot (of whatever) just for you, if you'd like!
If you don't have any ideas, that's okay too - I just thought maybe I'd open up the door to you, the people who come here and see my place. So... hit me with your best shot, fire away ;)
